About
More About Trust Therapy...
Taking that first step to talk with a compassionate and practised listener, is a positive movement towards improving your self-care and over-all quality of life.

When you establish a trusting relationship and have constructive conversations with a qualified therapist, you will feel accepted, supported and motivated to explore challenges and possibilities together. You will also learn valuable skills which can help you achieve long-term and meaningful change.

My principle treatment method is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which encompasses a personalised and holistic therapeutic approach. This involves collaboratively appraising other important aspects of your life to identify potential sources of stress and illuminating promising resolutions. My goal as a therapist is to help you develop a toolbox of strong coping mechanisms and problem solving techniques to restore your empowerment and enable you to enjoy life as much as you can. These potent strategies are tailored to your unique situation and circumstances and applying them will reinforce and sustain your resilience in difficult times, which for most people, are bound to arise from time to time.

My therapeutic orientation is not exclusively guided by skills and strategies.

I naturally relate to people with kindness and respect and through my therapy practice, I foster a nurturing and supportive environment, which will help you to feel accepted and valued. A sense of acceptance and validation will boost your self-esteem and confidence and optimise your potential to overcome challenges.

CT Explained

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Explained

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) has attained the status of gold standard in the field of psychotherapy and counselling because of its renowned success in helping people to improve their overall quality of life and its effectiveness in treating a wide range of mental health conditions.

Evidence Based

CBT is based on a wealth of empirical research, which has shown that it is an effective treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, addiction, stress and relationship issues.

Collaborative

CBT is a collaborative treatment approach that involves a partnership between the therapist and the client. This partnership empowers clients to take an active role in their own recovery process, which leads to greater engagement and motivation.

Short Term

CBT is typically a short-term treatment, which means that clients can see results relatively quickly. The focus is on helping clients develop specific coping strategies and behavioural change, which can produce swift and lasting improvements.

Scalable

CBT can be delivered in a range of settings, from individual therapy sessions to group therapy programs to self-help tools like online courses or apps. This makes it accessible to a wide range of people and makes it a practical option for many different contexts.

Customisable

CBT is highly customizable and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual client. This allows therapists to create personalised treatment plans that are uniquely suited to each client's situation.

Gold Standard

Overall, CBT has earned its status as the gold standard in mental health treatment because it is backed by robust scientific evidence, is practical and adaptable to many different situations, and enables clients to develop skills to overcome life's challenges and stressors.
